Parra Family Organic was founded in 1993 by three brothers: Francisco, Javier, and Luis. Despite the size of the operation, the brothers handle most of the administrative work themselves and are closely involved in every step of the process.
Everyone contributes to all areas; if asked, however, Francisco will admit that he deals a bit more with sales and marketing, while Javier focuses on winemaking. Luis is on hand everywhere and spends a lot of time on his passion: pigeon breeding.
Organic farming techniques include: composting, the use of fermented manure, liquid manure, plant macerates, green manure, crop rotation and associations, hedges, spaces for native flora and fauna integrated into the production area, soil cover, and mixed agro-livestock systems.
